Fall 2012 Referee Requests and Spring 2012 Bills

2012-07-08

Message from NERRS

Dear Teams,

Spring Bills

The Spring 2012 NERRS Invoices have now been posted to your club’s page on the NERRS website (http://www.nerugbyrefs.org). To access yours, please log into your page and click on the “Spring 2012 Invoice” icon on the left hand side of the screen.

Please submit your payment by no later than July 31, 2012. Late payment may lead to fines and/or a loss of referee assignments for your club. Please note that NERRS only accepts checks or money orders. If you experience difficulty in making the payment on time, please contact our NERRS Treasurer, Peter Lloyd-Evans (treasurer@nerugbyrefs.org) as soon as possible so that we can make an alternative arrangement for payment. Remember, no payment + no contact = no referee.

The invoices are automatically generated through our website. On occasion, the website makes a mistake. Please review your invoice carefully and notify the NERRS Treasurer as soon as possible if you suspect an error, and he will work with you to make sure it is corrected swiftly.

Club Contacts

All previously entered contacts for your club have been archived. CLUB ACCESS CODES HAVE NOT CHANGED. When you log in, you will be directed to the contact page. Please be prepared to fill in the required information for a minimum of two people.
name
position
email
phone   number

Please proofread your entries carefully as a mistake may mean your club does not receive essential communications such as referee assignments and Law changes.

Club Affiliation

With the proliferation of college conferences, we now ask you to select your affiliation from the menu in the Club Contact section. [Examples are: NERFU, Ivy League, East Coast College Conference, etc.] If you are in a conference that is not listed, please contact Peter Watson assignments@nerugbyrefs.org

Fall Referee Requests

Teams are now invited to put in requests for home matches in the fall. There are directions on the website. If you are doing this for the first time, please read them before entering requests.

A few teams have already submitted requests. Those teams do not need to re-submit, but they do need to log in and refresh their contact information.

CIPP

Club and player registration with USA Rugby expires on August 31 of each year and must be renewed prior to receiving any referee assignments for matches on or after September 1.

All of the above needs to be accomplished before referees can be assigned. Please feel free to contact me with questions or problems (including lost access codes).

Peter Watson

NERRS Director of Appointments

P.S. In case you haven’t heard, there are some Law changes that will take effect when you start playing fifteens again (August or September). See our website for details.
